Tim Mckee is
an experienced therapist, working with children, their families, schools,
executives, and individuals. He received his M.A. in
Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington.
He has extensive training in crisis intervention and use of de-escalation
techniques with youth and is a designated "Child Mental Health Specialist."
As a Outward Bound Therapist,
Tim spends one on one time with a boy, taking him camping, flying,
fishing, scuba diving, skiing, or some other outdoor activity, to
help the boy re-connect with nature. This has been found to help the
child connect with himself, decreasing his anger, and allowing the
therapeutic process to assist the child in learning how to get his needs
met in a more positive manner.
Tim brings over 20 years
of experience and skill to his counseling practice. His combines his
love of the outdoors and outdoor activities with his therapy style.
He is an accomplished skier and ski instructor, beginning his career at
the age of 16. Tim is alsoan accomplished commercial/instrument
rated seaplane pilot. In his early 20's, he was selected to
participate on the U.S. Demo Ski Team by the Professional Ski Instructor's
of American (PSIA). Only 10 instructors are asked to participate on
the Demo Ski Team from all over the United States for a four year
term. During that four years, Tim also served as the Vice President
of PSIA and was responsible for writing and updating the ski manuals for
PSIA instructors. He continues to teach skiing and combines his ski
expertise with counseling
Fearful of flying, Tim
sought an experience to help him deal with his own fear. After his
first flight, he loved flying so much, that he continued lessons until he
became a commercial/instrument rated pilot. Since that time, Tim has
been flying people all over the Northwest to fish in the wilderness,
experience the beautiful Northwest sights from the air, or to have tea at
the Empress Hotel in beautiful Victoria, Canada.
Tim brings with him years
of experience in dealing with children in a therapeutic manner and helping
them to connect with themselves, and their higher self.
